DevBlog #12 - Content Update Information - Part 2 [english]

Welcome to Shiva's DevBlog. Today, we're talking about the progress of the Content Update 1.0.




1. General Information

We have already accomplished a significant amount of work.
The update won't take much longer, but we cannot provide a specific timeframe as we aim to deliver quality, and quality takes time.
Over the holidays, we were able to somewhat recharge, and now we are fully focused on making progress.
We are as eager for the update as you are, and we want to complete it so that we can finally shift our attention to other things.
Today, we would like to share some additional insights and present a few more details.


2. The Story

The update includes a side story that complements the theme of the update, aptly named 'Fallen Stars'.

In summary, there is a long-hidden island far out in the ocean, unknown to the villagers of the two realms until now.
A large asteroid struck this island, piquing the curiosity of researchers and biologists who sent exploration teams.
The asteroid brought a new precious metal to Earth, which is utilized in the new update for crafting equipment.
The catch is that the island, where the new metal from the asteroid is found, is not entirely uninhabited.
For centuries, people and creatures have been living there.
Now, a conflict arises between the two realms and the island inhabitants, and only you can solve the problem.

Further details about the story will have to be explored on your own :)


3. The new Dungeons

The three new dungeons are already in the rough draft stage.
They still require some balancing and several quality-of-life improvements, but essentially, we are done with them.
Two of the dungeons revolve around the theme of sea monsters and sea myths.
The third dungeon will be an underwater cave inhabited by cursed creatures.

You can expect new mechanics and challenging techniques in the upcoming dungeons.
One of the dungeons even makes group entry quite interesting with its unique set of challenges.


4. Energy System

The Energy System will undergo significant changes compared to the original.
Initially, you'll need to drop items to craft a crystal. Once you have a crystal without energy,
you must provide targeted energy input using uranium and pigment, resulting in a PvM Energy Crystal or a PvP Energy Crystal.
These crystals can be enhanced with special scrolls. The level of the crystal determines the number and strength of bonuses it can have.
The highest grind factor comes with switching the bonuses on your crystal. As shown in the video, each bonus can have a different magnitude, ranging from 1% to a maximum of 10% at level +9.
Crystals are like pets tradable only through a transport box. Once the utility time of your crystal expires, it becomes unusable.
However, the crystal is not destroyed; you can recharge its utility time.




5. Shining System

Our Shining System is similar to the costume system.
Shining items need to be dropped, and they can be upgraded to become permanent.
The higher the level, the more bonuses can be added.
Each of our Shinings comes in 10 colors, providing a vast array of color combinations for you.

The Shining icon includes a color indicator, allowing you to easily see the color at a glance.
If you grow tired of a color, you can change it at any time with an item and give yourself an entirely new look.




6. Smaller Things

In addition to our main efforts, we continually work on smaller details that may not warrant individual mentions.
These include quality of life features, additional functions, and more.


7. Two larger main systems

Our current focus is primarily on two major systems that will bring fresh dynamics to both PvM and PvP.
Once these are completed, only the finishing touches of the update will remain.
