DevBlog #14

Welcome to Shiva's DevBlog. Today, we're talking about the actual work of the Development team and our plans.

1. New PvM Balancing

The balancing of all classes in PvM was originally planned for Content Update 1.0.
However, due to the current high demand, we’ve decided to move it forward and carry it out before the CU.
With the recent improvements to the hitbox for Ninja and Shaman, we've already taken the first step in that direction.
The balancing work is currently underway on the development server.

2. Elite Rework

Highly requested by our high-level players are improvements to the Elite System.
We will be completely reworking the system. Our rough plans include moving Elite battles into closed arenas. These arenas will have limited access - both in terms of maximum player capacity and additional restrictions such as HWID blocks. This means each player will only be able to use one character, making group formation and strategic planning meaningful and relevant again.

3. Costume System Update

Our Costume System is also a matter close to our hearts.
We’ve continuously added new costumes over time, but currently, only the costumes that were available at the server launch can be obtained through chests. Unfortunately, we overlooked updating the cases to include all the new collections. We aim to address this and implement some minor improvements as well.

4. Changes for the Moonlight Event

Another request from the community was an adjustment to the Moonlight Event.
Several players expressed interest in obtaining the event costumes in a permanent version. While this was never originally part of the event's concept, we are currently developing a system that will allow players to earn these costumes permanently through long-term event farming.

One final, smaller matter we’d like to address is our communication.
Internally, we're currently working hard on optimizing workflows and improving collaboration within the team. Unfortunately, not everything goes smoothly right away. We apologize for this and promise to keep improving.

Thank you for reading our DevBlog carefully. Once the points mentioned have been addressed, we’ll return with more information on our upcoming plans.

Kind Regards,
Shiva Team
