Hello everyone, Welcome to the next DevBlog of Shiva. We have had some minor relapse and also one major relapse in the past few weeks. However, we have caught up with our relapse. We are fine now again. The only bad message is that we now have to push the beta to August and the official launch of the project to September.

1. The Shiva Trailer

As you could already see on the GIF in the attachment, a nice cinematic trailer is in work in the background. We came across a talented professional animator through some contacts. With him we are currently working on the completion of the trailer. It will be a feast for the eyes!


  • 2. Anti Bug Functions

    This point is kept very short. We have done a lot of anti bug measures. However, we think it was worth mentioning, because we spent a lot of time on it.

    3. Vote 4 Bonus

    We've implemented a Vote4Bonus system. You will receive an item that you can activate, for voting successfully every day. This item will grant you additional helpful bonuses.

    4. Wedding System

    We have reworked the entire wedding system. Love points as you knew them before no longer exist. However, the love points icon is still active when your life companion is on the same map as you. From that moment on, both players receive a bonus of 5% increased item drop and 5% more base experience. Likewise, same-gender marriage are possible on Shiva. Teleporting to your partner also works as usual, but only teleports to maps that your character has access to will work. Furthermore, there is a new slot in the equipment section of your inventory where you can equip wedding jewelry. The jewelry has received brand new bonuses and the crafting of this jewelry will also surprise you. If you've ever been to a jeweler, you can guess how it will work.


    5. Future plans

    In the next time we will have to work on the dungeons again, because we have some new features planned. Also we are currently working on the complete translation of the client. We are on the right track towards beta.

Hello,

Welcome to the next DevBlog from Shiva. We have made a lot of progress in the development in the past weeks. We will go through the biggest and most important points for you.

1. Evolving Pet System

The system is almost finished. There are still a few small blemishes to fix as well as 1-2 minor bugs. The development of this system is completed and this brings us a huge step forward.


2. Buff bot

We have decided, despite the fact that we follow the oldschool genre, to implement a buffbot. This has many reasons. On the one hand, there are many players who do not like to create and level up a buff shaman. On the other hand, it can happen that at night the activity of the players decreases and then to get buffs becomes pure pain. For all those who had to struggle with these problems so far, a remedy has now been added. The buffbot can buff you with 25% buffs(Dragon's Strength and blessing only) and they last for 30 minutes. However, you can only get buffs from the bot every 15 minutes, because we don't want the bot to interfere with Open PvP. This bot is stationary on Map1 and Map2.


3. Biologist missions

We have completed the work on the biologist missions. At launch there are 10 biologist quests to complete. The whole thing is no longer done at an NPC as before, but through a GUI/window that can be opened via a button at the minimap. The system also gives you the possibility to be notified every time you can deliver the next item. You have the option to skip your cooldown and increase your succes rate with 2 additional items. The biologist missions for the upcoming content updates are already finished too :)


4. Belt system

The belt system is now also completely finished. We have given a meaning to each belt and divided the bonuses of the belts well.


5. Future plans

Our next major work represents the wedding. We want to change the wedding and make it meaningful and rewarding again.

Hello,

Welcome to the next DevBlog from Shiva. We've worked a lot on the project in the past weeks and have made great progress. Let's briefly review the goals of the last DevBlog before we reveal the new goals.

1. Passive Skills


We've finished the development on the passive skills. We have created 3 new passive skills. These are Dragon Power, Inspiration and Precision. These are not the skills from the official server. We have made something of our own from them. We will show in future, in the previews,  how they work.

2. Leadership bonus


The group leader is now able to give himself bonuses through leadership since you voted for that in the polls section at our discord.


3. Evolving Pet system


We have decided to implement a new pet system. This pet can be hatched from eggs and leveled. This pet has several levels of evolution. Each evolution level opens another free slot for the pet to learn a skill. When the pet reaches the maximum level and the last evolutionary stage, it can unlock another 3 skill slots. The pet also has standard bonuses that can be improved. This pet is leveled with normal exp, it does not require items to feed. 

4. Future plans


Actually the evolving pet system is not completely finished. So our focus is currently on finishing this system and eliminating any bugs. After that, we turn our attention to completing the biologist missions.

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the third DevBlog from Shiva. The distance to the last DevBlog was a bit bigger this time, but we have accordingly also mastered larger features. Let's briefly review the goals of the last DevBlog before we reveal the new goals.

1. Ingame Wiki


A big goal of the last DevBlog was the completion of the ingame wiki. We have finished the system. However, the entries in the wiki are not finished yet. That still takes a while.

2. Quality of Life


We have reworked a lot of small things like the Anti-Exp ring, which is no longer an item but a button in your taskbar. This was only one of many QoL features, there are many more such details, which we have reworked. To name all of them now would go beyond the scope of this DevBlog. So let us surprise you when you start our client for the first time. :)

3. Dungeons


We have finished the work on all dungeons. A total of 7 dungeons are waiting to be explored by you for the release. 3 more have also been completed for the 2 planned content updates.

Every single dungeon has received at least one major rework from us, so that they are hardly similar to the original. The Demon Tower, as an example, has been expanded by several stages. The Beran-Setaou was also designed quite differently and is also no longer a global room but a separate instance for each player/group.

With the keyword group it also goes directly further. All dungeons can be entered solo as well as in a group. The loot is always adapted to the solo player. If you are not strong enough, it is worth searching for a group. However, if you are strong enough, you should also complete these dungeons solo.

Since some of our dungeons have been heavily reworked or are even our own creations, we have created a quest line for each dungeon. This quest line will take you to and through each dungeon. Tips are given on how to most easily tackle the various bosses or how the mechanics of the dungeon are set up. At the end of each quest lines there is also a unique souvenir as a reward.

Last but not least, we come to the dungeon board. All of our dungeons are connected by the dungeon board. This offers many different features, which we will announce later. But the most important one: you can teleport to any dungeon and see your cooldowns on the respective instances.

At the end we want to talk about what our next steps are..

The next big work are the passive skills. We're going to change the old ones and come up with new passive skills to give you even more variety. We already have a rough plan how these should look like, but we are not averse to ideas from you. If you have any ideas, feel free to post them in suggestions in our discord. We will definitely respond to them! :)

Hello there,

we have finished our website with all functions it should have in our opinion. We are very happy to finally publish our website. The last few days went completely into the completion of the website. This will be an important and central point of our server structure, because a lot of information and updates will be posted there. The registration is currently closed.
