Metin2 class guide: choose and build your character on Shiva

Which Metin2 class is best for you?

Choose the job you want your character to do before choosing a class: repeated Metin farming, boss attempts, group support or PvP. Shiva has Warrior, Sura, Ninja and Shaman, with its own skill adjustments. A tier list for the official game or another private server is not a measured ranking for Shiva. Your available equipment, skill development and preferred controls matter alongside damage.

Warrior: compare Body and Mental for your target

The server presentation describes Berserk without its increased-damage vulnerability and Strong Body with boss resistance and without its movement penalty. That makes it important to inspect the actual Shiva versions when comparing Body and Mental. For a build, identify whether failed attempts come from dying, slow kills or difficulty staying on your target. Test an improvement that addresses that problem instead of buying the most expensive weapon first.

Sura: distinguish Metin farming from other damage goals

The presentation gives Enchanted Armour additional damage against Metin stones. It also describes separate changes to Black Magic skills, including Flame Spirit working while mounted. Those details do not prove that every Sura build is the strongest against every boss. Check which skill and damage type your intended activity uses. Compare equipment under the same buffs, target and skill conditions before committing to a costly change.

Ninja: evaluate the skill kit, not an old reputation

Fire Arrow is described with area damage and a burn effect. Feather Walk has altered timing and defensive effects, including protection against knockdown. Read the current duration and cooldown in the client before planning a rotation. Decide whether your target rewards repeated attacks, timed skills or mobility, then test the Ninja play style you actually intend to use rather than treating all specialisations as one build.

Shaman: plan an independent character or a group role

Shiva's presentation includes Shaman as a PvM class, not merely a second account used for buffs. Cure is described as stronger group healing with a longer cooldown; Reflect is self-only. For group play, agree on who brings which role and when healing is useful. For solo play, measure your own clear speed and survivability. Do not buy equipment solely because it appears in a guide written for a buff-only character.

A build checklist before spending Yang

Write down one target and a fixed equipment budget. Inspect skill descriptions and target information, then list the equipment changes that could solve your current problem. Keep necessary upgrade materials and consumables aside. Change one major variable at a time and compare several attempts under similar conditions. Record completion time, deaths and consumable use; a single critical hit is not a reliable damage comparison. Avoid copying an exact stat or skill-point order from another server without checking that its mechanics match.

Can one character cover PvM and PvP?

You can choose to pursue both, but the relevant opponents, equipment and role may differ. Keep separate notes for your farming target and player combat rather than assuming one setup is optimal everywhere. The skill details above come from Shiva's server presentation; they are not a current balance benchmark. Check the client and latest announcements before expensive upgrades or a major build change.
