Metin2 beginner guide: classes, leveling and farming on Shiva

Create an account, read the server rules and download the client from this website. Follow the installation instructions and finish the available updates. If an error interrupts setup, save the message and check the download guide before contacting support.

Which Metin2 class fits your PvM start?

On Shiva you choose Warrior, Ninja, Sura or Shaman. Instead of asking which class is always the best, start with your goal: farming Metins, preparing for bosses or playing with a group. Shiva's own skill changes matter more than a class ranking written for another server.

• Warrior: When comparing Body and Mental play styles, check the changes to Berserk and Strong Body. The presentation describes removed drawbacks and boss resistance from Strong Body.
• Sura: If Metin farming is your focus, look at Enchanted Armour. The presentation describes additional damage against Metin stones. Black Magic Sura also has its own adjustments.
• Ninja: The presentation describes area damage for Fire Arrow and changes to Feather Walk. Do not judge every Ninja play style solely from an older official-server guide.
• Shaman: The group healing described for Cure is relevant when planning to play together. Shiva's presentation also includes Shaman as a PvM class in its own right, not just a second character used for buffs.

These are features described in the server presentation, not a measured ranking of current damage. Read the current client descriptions before planning skills and equipment. First test whether you enjoy the class before spending all your Yang on its gear.

Use the tools for your first goals

Choose Warrior, Ninja, Sura or Shaman, then pick a task from the categorised quest board. Press H to open the in-game wiki and look up an item or its upgrade requirements. Press U to open the special inventory. Before choosing a dungeon, press F6 and check its level requirements and whether it supports solo or group play. When you reach a Biologist task, press F11 to see your submission progress and the next available delivery. Use these menus to choose your next step instead of guessing what your character needs.

Learn the market and ask useful questions

Compare item descriptions and current prices when browsing offline shops. If you need help, describe your character's stage and what you want to do. For technical or account issues, use support and include the relevant time, error or screenshot without sharing your password.

Plan your first farming and leveling session

1. Check your starting point: inspect your equipment, inventory and available quests. The presentation describes basic +6 equipment; confirm the items you actually receive and any expiry times in the client.
2. Pick one goal: choose an equipment item, a quest or your next level target. This gives you a way to judge whether your session is producing the progress you want.
3. Look up the source: open the wiki with H and find the item or its upgrade requirements. Use target information to check drops and resistances before farming.
4. Try a short session: watch how reliably you defeat enemies and which consumables you need. Frequent defeats or high costs are a reason to adjust your target or equipment.
5. Sort your loot: keep items needed for your own upgrades or Biologist tasks separate from items you intend to sell. Compare several current offers instead of treating one listing's asking price as a guaranteed sale price.
6. Prepare the next step: before entering a dungeon, use F6 to check level requirements and solo or group information. Work on the missing requirement first instead of repeatedly attempting an unsuitable run.

Returning to Metin2: what should you check first?

Familiar classes and systems can help you settle in, but old drop locations, dungeon requirements and skill advice may not apply unchanged to Shiva. Read the latest announcements, inspect your equipment and choose a small next goal. For Biologist tasks, F11 shows your submission progress and next delivery time. Use the wiki and shop search to investigate items and current market offers.
