Understanding Metin2 rankings and server toplists
A Metin2 server ranking can mean two different things: a list comparing servers, or a leaderboard within one server. Shiva publishes its own player and guild rankings. These help you follow the competition here and should be read separately from external server toplists.
Follow Shiva's player and guild standings
Open the rankings from the website navigation to view the available standings. Use the labels shown there to understand what each list measures. A leaderboard describes the characters or guilds included in that list; it is not a comparison of Shiva against other Metin2 servers.
Put external toplists in context
When using a Metin2 server toplist, first check how positions are calculated. Votes, editorial choices and other listing criteria answer different questions. Read the listing's explanation and visit a server's own website to check its concept, download information, rules and recent announcements.
Choose using more than one position
Match the server's progression style, content and languages to what you want to play. Shiva offers oldschool-oriented progression to level 99, PvM and guild or realm PvP. Use the server comparison guide to turn those details into a personal shortlist rather than relying on a single ranking.
